Cable Braiding - PET vs Paracord

PET are Polyethylene Terephthalate and Paracord are soft nylon material

Each has their pro and cons;

PET are more plasticky feel and slightly less flexible.  They are more microphonic compared to Paracord.  But they are durable and have higher resistance to stains and fraying

Paracord are cloth-like feel, they are soft and velvety, slightly more flexible and less microphonic. However, they may fray if rubbing against other rough surface and stains may be more difficult to remove
